2025 Winter Field Day is from January 25 – 26th. To my Surprise WFD It is a relatively new event having only started in 2007. WFD was actually one of the first events I participated in as a newly licensed amateur radio op.
Like Amateur Radio Field Day in June, it’s a great way to get experience on the air. There are many clubs that will open up their operations. Allowing the general public to join them. You can use the map on the Winter Field Day site. It will allow you to look up which clubs are open to the public during their operations.

It’s a great way to attract new members if your event is open to the public.
